The Life of Pink...
Weekend's not quite here as of yet. Thursdays always feel weird, because you're over the hump, but the weekend's not quite in sight as of yet. The only good thing with Thursdays is the hope of a new episode of CSI.
I've found a new addiction: those pink wintergreen Canada mints. They're extremely mild in flavor, and so easy to just chew up. It looks like I'm constantly popping big Pepto pills, so maybe I'll let 'em think that something's causing me a lot of gastric stress.
On the work front, we're doing extremely well for March. So well, in fact, that the company's footing the bill for coffee and donuts for break, and pizza for lunch.
This weekend will involve more cleaning, especially since the weather's stated to be crappy on Saturday. No worries, it needs to be done. I managed to get quite a bit of my side of the bedroom cleared. I have to finish that, and start on the laundry part of that. Then I'll continue on with the front room.
Today is C's last day of afterschool. She has a lot of schoolwork that has to get done before next weekend, and she only has like three full weeks of school left. She also wants to take it easy and not cause herself any undue stress which may cause Marcus to want to evacuate sooner than planned, especially when C's Mom is in Jamaica early this April. We would like her family to be close by (in town would be best) when Marcus makes his debut.
(Exit, stage... um... which direction?)
Another brilliant day today. It's a good thing I don't have to break the sound barrier trying to get home tonight for a class or anything. I can take my time. But I still have things to do there, of course. I'll probably only stop to make dinner, eat dinner, watch CSI, and then sleep. Hopefully I will sleep better tonight, a little more soundly.
I know we lose an hour's sleep this weekend. May or may not help the sleep situation, but let's just see.
No brew up this morning. Not in the mood for hot tea.
Okay, the pizza for lunch wasn't the greatest. I bet I'll be paying for it later on somehow. I know, just chew on a few fake Pepto tablets, right? :)
Aikido last night was great. The primary instructor wasn't there, so his assistant (who is an actual instructor at the dojo) taught the class. Good class. My soft shoulders really played a part in it, as we started to do pins (ikkyo and nikyo) off of a wrist grab. Love the stuff.
I'd like to take a look at the news...
First of all the headlines...
Twenty-one killed at a 21-gun salute.
Terry Schiavo has passed, 13 days after her tube was removed. However, the news will still march on, I imagine.
The Pope has a living will in effect, with a DNR order attached. He doesn't want life support. I'm not entirely surprised by this, really.
Also on the religious and hospitalized front, no news on Jerry Falwell.
A man with a chainsaw has been killed by a falling tree.
Police fired over the heads of rioters today, killing nine people living on the second floor.
Wacko Jacko's trial isn't happening today. Some sort of state holiday in California. What is it, anyway?
I heard that there was a motion amongst the public to boycott Canadian merchandise and travel to Canada, all because of the poaching of seal pups. (Don't worry, skyglider, you shall not be boycotted here, though I would love to hear your take on this story.) Not only are they poaching them, but they're clubbing them to death while they're still conscious. Not only is this illegal, but I find it deplorable that they're doing this only for the pelts and the reproductive organs (which are sent to Asia). Should capture these poachers, tie the buggers up so they can only move like a seal pup, and club them. Goose and gander, ifyouknowwhatImean.
No rants today.
That's all I have for now
Nothing more to report
