Well the Super Bowl is over and done with, and as predicted, the Patriots won again. I don't want to diminish their hard-earned victory, but I don't think that this win even comes close to The Moment in October, when our beloved Red Sox finally won a World Series in over 80 years. TO me, that's the bigger victory.
That's not to say that it wasn't a great game. It had some nail-biting moments. I'm glad it wasn't one that they just walked away with, or had it handed to them. Both teams fought for it until the bitter end. I had my doubts at times, but the guys didn't let us down.
And I'm also glad that Tom Brady didn't get the MVP vote. He wasn't at the top of his game. Deion Branch was a much better choice, or even Tedy Bruschi should have gotten it. He always gives 100% of his effort to the team, and is a great offense and defense player.

Putting all that aside, it was a pretty tame weekend. On Saturday, we ran a few errands in the morning and early afternoon. There was a nice surprise, however -- at Living Earth, we bumped into [livejournal.com profile] ibabeu and his SO Amanda, so we ended up having brunch with them at Living Earth. After a few more errands on such a beautiful day, we rested up at home for a little while, then went to St Mary's for the Teacher's Mass and pasta dinner. All in all, a tame day.
Sunday, we did a bit of a grocery shop, then had lunch, and did a little bit of housework before heading off to my parents' place for an evening of food and Super Bowl. I brought Chili Dog Nachos, a recipe we saw on 30 Minute Meals on the Food Network. Those were a hit. We got home around 1030 or so, and pretty much went to bed.

A decision was made late last week... we're taking the month off from our weekend gaming groups so that we can get the house in order for when Marcus comes along. It just needs to be done, and done now so we can start moving things around, and bring in furniture for the kiddo. Can't have him sleeping in a drawer now, can we?

Nothing more to report.
Carry on.
