Look at your LJ "interests" list. If you have fewer than 50 interests, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five interests, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five interests, pick every tenth one. If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly what it is about these things that interests you so much.

  • Armour - I think this falls back into the RPG thing, having some knowledge of armor types helps. But I also appreciate Japanese armor above all, with its beauty and functionality, along with practicality.

  • Boston Red Sox - C'mon. I've lived here since 1977. They're my team, my boys. Plus they pulled off the Nearly Impossible last season. Gotta love a team for doing that.

  • Comedy - Well we all need a laugh, don't we?

  • d20 - I'm into RPGs, and the d20 system is, on the whole, not a bad system to play.

  • Eddie Izzard - Okay, you may have caught him in a movie, but have you seen his stand-up? This man is, in his own description, a professional transvestite. But he's funny as hell. We managed to see him live in Boston a couple of weeks after our wedding.

  • Firearms - I'm not a gun nut, I'm an enthusiast. I've studied them for years. I know which ones I would like to have, legally. I know which ones I'd like to take to the range and test fire. I just enjoy them.

  • Gweeping - Has to do with computers, especially with the old WPI crowd.

  • John Woo - One of the best action movie directors. 'nuff said.

  • Maine coon cats - Having had two of them in my life, they're the best cats around.

  • Ninjas - They still hold an interest for me, after all these years. Forget what you see in the movies, forget all the legendary stuff. I'd prefer to read about the reality of the ninja.

  • Red Dwarf - One of the best comedies ever to come out of the UK.

  • Secret Stuff - This sort of stuff has always fascinated me -- secret societies, conspiracies and the like... love to read about them.

  • Technology - I'm a geek. 'nuff said.

  • Wicca - Though I'm a bit lapsed in actually practicing it, I find myself more akin to this line of belief than I do with any of the organized religions that are out there.

And so Monday rears its ugly head in our direction once again, so I guess it's time for another update on what happened during the weekend.

Friday night was a Friday night. We spent the evening cleaning a few things up, watching the Red Sox get trounced by the Yankees. I recorded Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis on DVR, since I wasn't able to really watch it whilst cleaning.

Saturday morning I did a couple of errands so we could make pie for a cookout (see Sunday), get my comics, and munchies for the game. We had our first RPG session in about six months, hosted at our flat. A good time was had by all. I really missed getting together and just hanging out and gaming. We were supposed to have a new player join us, but he had to work a double shift and couldn't make it. We'll get to meet him next week.
Marcus was extremely well-behaved through it all, too. Very little fussing. He managed a slight snooze in his swing, but managed to stay awake through the whole day.
Saturday evening, my parents came over for Chinese food. Mom and Dad helped with getting Marcus to sleep, and they didn't stay too long themselves, as they were just as tired as we were.
After they left, we made a couple of pies, letting them sit in the freezer overnight (as they are supposed to do -- they're made from Cool Whip, lemon-lime KoolAid mix, lime juice and condensed milk), and went to bed.

Sunday was the day of the cookout over at [livejournal.com profile] sfogliatella and [livejournal.com profile] silent_iniquity's place. They brought the big-screen TV out into the yard so we could watch the Bills stomp all over the Texans. It was like a huge tailgate party. Marcus was a hit, and very well-behaved through it all. We didn't really have dinner, as there was lots of food to ingest.

And now we come back to the regular work week. Blah.
