So, now the new year is upon us.
Goodbye 2005. It certainly was enjoyable in a lot of respects.
First day back at work, and my cohort decides to work from home. Didn't want to brave the snowstorm, probably. Of course, it's worse down by Worcester. Up in Littleton, where my company is, there isn't a lot of activity. So no delayed openings here.
At least I didn't try to swallow a pill and get sent to the hospital this time. The day's not over yet, though.
The ride home was uneventful. We started out probably around 1100. Made it home around 2100. Ten hours back, in the rain and a little snow. Not too shabby. It felt good to sleep in our own bed again. It took a little while to get Marcus to sleep, though, since he napped quite a bit in the car.
Took a look at the Smithsonian Store online. They don't offer my SR71 jacket online. Damn.
Going to work on a list of various projects to do during the course of the next few months. Some are for the house, some are for gaming.
Speaking of gaming, I doubt that I'll be doing TotalCon this year. I didn't do it last year due to lack of interesting events, plus they didn't mail out the usual brochures -- it was all online.
Reasons for this year? I had to use some vacation time over the past month or so due to traffic delays and medical appointments. Add that into the five days of vacation time I took for this run, and I am down to 24.95 hours left. If I want to go to Ocean City MD this summer, I'll have to use that plus my two floating holidays to make up for them.
At least my sick time has regenerated back to 56 hours.
What else...
Nothing else for now... just wanted to update everyone...
Oh, and Hippo Birdie to
ibabeu!
