The Life of Pink

I didn't sleep well last night. Not at all.
Nyquil wouldn't have helped, I think, but since I didn't have any Nyquil on hand, the point is moot. Not that it had really helped me sleep much in the recent past, anyway.
I usually experience a few wakeups during the night as it is, due to my medical condition, but last night was just awful. It seemed like, at times, I was getting up maybe twice an hour.
I'm hoping that I can just chalk last night up to being a bad night, a rarity.
However, I am rather sleepy. I could do with a nap, and it's not even lunchtime yet.
What's really going to suck is the fact that C and I start our childbirthing classes tonight. I'll be getting out of here around 1730, make it home a little after 1800, and we gotta hustle to Medical Center before 1830. When do I get a chance to get food down my neck? I'm sure as hell not waiting until after we get home after 2100, that's for sure. I'll grab a quick slice of pizza from the hospital's food court during the class. Decorum be damned, this is hunger we're talking about. I'll get more to eat during any breaks we may have.

I'll muddle through the day on pure willpower and Irish stubbornness. When we get home from our class, I'm hitting bed. Good thing we'll already be taping House.

Trying a new tea today -- Bigelow Tasty Tangerine. It's got real fruit juice in it. How they do it for dried tea, I don't know. However, it's part of my work stash, which also has Celestial Seasonings Lemon Zinger and Tangerine Orange Zinger.

Whoah, I feel loopy. Slightly dizzy, definitely a touch lightheaded. This will make the day more interesting...

Okay, it's a little later, feeling slightly less woozy now. Not a lot, but only just slightly. Wow.
If they wanted to send me home just for being woozy, I'd ask if I could just sleep it off somewhere for a little while first.

That's all for now.
Nothing more to report.
Carry on.

It's not that I feel bad, just a bit off. Sometimes cold meds can do that. Dextromethorphan does list dizziness as a side effect. Then again, I felt this way after taking a prescription-strength naproxen to see if it would help my shoulder. Meds can affect different people in different ways. Vicodin doesn't do squat for me when it comes to drowsiness, but if I pop a Percocet, I'll be mellow if not sleeping inside of an hour.

Mostly, I just need to sleep. Perhaps a little blue pill (no not a triangular one) will help me out...
