Hoo boy, last night, we only took two points, lost six...
Just didn't go all that well. Then again, a couple of the people on our opposing team were rather good. I managed a strike, so did Colleen. Darryl just kept getting angrier and angrier at the way the pins were falling, or in a lot of cases, weren't falling. He's so damned competitive. The rest of us don't care where we are in the standings... we're only competing versus ourselves and our averages... he's competing versus each and every team we face. That attitude may be fine for his regular league nights, but not for this. We're in it for fun. The worse he gets, the less fun it becomes.
I've only threatend once to walk away... There are times when I think that he needs a talking to about this league, but he's the sort of guy to whom you can't tell anything.
Good things about last night: the strikes, and the fact that I still managed three strings above my average... and I got a 96 in the first string.
Oh... and a good burger beforehand at Coe's Cafe next to the alley.
