Think I'll take a moment and talk about my Saturday afternoon D&D 3.5e campaign for a while... just a few notes behind it, nothing to really give anything really important away as of yet.
Right now, we have five players:
Darryl - GM, new to the d20 system after being well immersed in 2e and Hero/Champions.
Scott - Primarily a Battletech player, but does enjoy the odd bit of roleplaying.

7threality - Great D&D player, no matter what the edition. Hell, an excellent gamer all around.
Colleen - My wife. Methinks she likes the d20/3e/3.5e system better than the older ones. She's coming into her own with it.
Me - Need I say more?
Basis of the game: We're all in our late teens (apart from Colleen's character... you'll see why in a moment.). We ran away from the small farming village where we grew up (Well, Colleen's character was more of an... indentured servant in the keep/manor that overlooked our humble digs...) and ended up in a larger town, trying to fit in. And, for the most part, that's what we've been trying to do. Somehow, we managed to do a few odd jobs for the man who's helping to buy Colleen's freedom... explore an underground cavern on one of 7threality's property, get beaten nearly to death by rather larger-than-normal creatures... find a gateway to the Underworld... and now we're stuck in the middle of what we thought was an uprising by the elves to escape the bonds of slavery only to find that there are humans involved too... we're all confused...
Here's the character breakdown:
Erik Hunterson (Me) - Human Ranger 4th. Died once, raised. Originally the son of one of the village's hunters. Has taken the Two Weapon Fighting path.
Garrett Grunstuck (Me) - Human Druid 4th. Nothing truly special about him. I wouldn't mind if he went off on his own and I could replace him with either a monk or a swashbuckler-type from Unearthed Arcana.
Hellyn Galanodel (Colleen) - Elf Wizard 4th. She's the sore thumb of the group. Not only does she do arcane magic, but she's an elf. Elves are looked down upon in this world.
Scup (7threality) - Human Rogue 4th. Wants to learn "finger wiggling" (spellcasting). Owns property outside of town.
Grob (7threality) - Human Fighter 4th. Wields axes, since he used to be a woodsman/lumberjack in the old village.
Cuthbert (Scott) - Human Cleric of Pelor 4th. Whiny snot at times, but does dish out the healing spells when needed.
By the by, there's the open invite foribabeu to join the group since he's now living in Worcester. (We may need a fighter-type of character. Get in touch with me, we'll talk more.)
