This must be Thursday...

The last day of work for the week.
Our packing is pretty much done, except for a few minor things here and there.
The only hitch in our plan is the weather -- rain coming in, and silvara77 hates driving in the rain, especially at night. But we'll be heading out of it, so I don't foresee any major problems.
Bought four bottles of wine for the in-laws last night.
silvara77 will be stopping by my parents' place to pick up the gifts my parents are sending to hers.

Got a surprise at work yesterday -- a year's end bonus! Wow! Didn't expect it. I won't say how much, but I was stymied by the amount, and the Boss said that it would be bigger next year, since I'll have worked here longer. Holy cow.

Oh, and I tried a hit of that new Tylenol Nighttime Cold and Flu (with Cool Burst or whatever) last night. No alcohol in it, but it's got an antihistamine. Didn't knock me out in any shorter amount of time than Nyquil, but it's not bad. Next time I get it, though, I'll be looking at WalMart's prices on it.

So, at the end of the workday, I'll be heading home, and in about half an hour after that, we'll be on our way. I'll post an update tomorrow, just so everyone knows we made it.

Hell...

Went into the lunch room to heat up my lunch... only to find that it wasn't in the fridge.
I brought a container of leftover cheesy hashbrown potato with ham, but I ended up eating some of the leftovers from the previous night's party.
Apparently someone just tossed it, container and all, thinking that it wasn't from the party and had been in the fridge for a while. No one even bothered to ask if anyone had brought anything new in, nope, just right into the bin, leaving me without a lunch today because I didn't order one (big whoop, sandwiches again, and they're not all that wonderful), and none of the leftover party leftovers aren't all that appetizing to me today. And I don't feel like going out into the rain to try and find something from the very limited selection of places that are around here.

So I'll be going hungry today, without a lunch. I've a feeling I'll be a touch on the cranky side for the rest of the day. I don't know what we'll be doing foodwise during the trip apart from road munchies, but damn, I'm gonna be famished.
