Things I'm thankful for...

  • A wife who, for the most part, understands me and, for the most part, accepts me and my faults and loves me anyways.

  • A son who is healthy, clever, highly amusing, and helps me get through.

  • A roof over my head.

  • DVR, even though the drive was nearly full... until this past weekend.

  • A decent job with coworkers who are just as barmy as I am.

  • My family, both branches.

  • My daily intake of MDX.

Things I want in my life...

  • More time to do the things I need to do, not just want to do.

  • A house that is TARDIS-like when it comes to storage space.

  • Health.

  • Happiness.

  • Longevity.

  • Good food.

  • Very little to no debt.

Things I've learned over time (but it doesn't mean I do them all yet)...

  • Love means having to make sacrifices upon oneself to make the other person happy.

  • Love DOES mean having to say you're sorry. Whoever coined the original phrase is a complete and utter berk. If you didn't care about the other person, you wouldn't say you were sorry.

  • I can be absolute crap when it comes to finances.

  • I may have a slight addiction to shopping. Not just specific things, mind you, but shopping in general.

  • I need to get back on and stay on my meds.

Other things...

  • I am in need of a gaming fix. The way I've been able to appease it somewhat is by playing Neverwinter Nights. After I get through that, I've got Guild Wars Nightfall and Factions to install and have at it online. Maybe I'll create some modules for NWN based on other modules I have.

So last night I'm sitting on the floor while Colleen, Mom-in-law and I are watching Talladega Nights. Marcus is doing his wandering around with various toys. He came
up to me and managed to toss his little airplane behind me, so, of course, he decided to crawl/walk on me to get it.
In the process of traversing me, he got a thumb up into my nose. Normally, this is only mildly painful but still highly annoying, so I tried to get his thumb out of my nose. Instantly, I felt major pain, as he grabbed using all of his fingers -- including the aforementioned thumb. His hand moved away, and I grabbed my nose, as one would do with a painful part of the body.
Colleen said, "Oh just get his plane, you wuss."
I proceeded to check and hold up one of my hands -- which was now covered in blood.
Marcus had managed to scratch the inside of my nose hard enough to draw blood.
Within seconds, I had tissues and an ice pack for my nose. Marcus had retreated to his room.
However, the three of us in the living room were trying very hard not to laugh at the situation. Colleen went into Marcus' room, where he was heard to say, "Dada booboo." Well that just set us all off.
Within a few minutes, my nose wasn't pouring blood, and everything was better.

And Marcus came over to give me a big hug.
