Okay, we did better, after a fashion. Only half the other team showed up, and those two were two young women who don't really bowl all that well.
I was pretty much switched on last night. The other thing to note was that we were in lanes 1-2, also known as the Shit Lanes (according to us), since the pins are usually dead there. However, we did make the best of it.
Trish: 62/74/73 = 209, game avg 69.7, running avg 69.1
Me: 85/88/83 = 256, avg 85.3, running avg 83.7
Colleen: 111/78/90 = 279, avg 93, running avg 90.1 (rolled off on Sunday)
Darryl: 100/107/89 = 296, avg 98.7, running avg 100.6
We gave them 27 pins each string as a handicap. We won games 1 and 3, and took most pins for 6 out of 8 points. Our to-date record is 2 wins, 2 losses, 2 ties. We're down there in the standings, but at least we're at .500 now.
More later as news warrants.
