Okay, here goes.
When things are looking up and I'm gainfully employed and things are better, I may be in the market for a decent PDA.
My requirements:

  • Color screen

  • Palm OS (not going the Windows route)

  • Decent amount of memory

  • Preferably a USB connection

I don't require a camera or an MP3 player on it.
I'd consider Palm or Sony, but Sony's pulled their PDA line from the US, so... mind you I'd take a slightly used Clie like my dad's...
I don't want it to be ridiculously expensive, either. I don't know what my price range is as of yet, though. This is kind of a future plan.

Oh, and if anyone knows of a PIII 1.26GHz processor that's out there and on the cheap, I may be interested after I get a job...

Something you may want to consider...

You know... I bought a PDA and still wonder if it was worth the money for it. Basically its an electronic addressbook and to do list. I downloaded some programs so thats its also a scientific calculator but after that what else do I need it for?

I bought it thinking I would actually make some programs for it so I can use it as a game calculator, but I have yet to even download the compilers.

Well, I need it for those things, plus the capability of actually going to a store with all my lists in one place -- grocery, booklist, whatever. Who knows what else I'd use it for, really. That's why I want an inexpensive color model without a lot of extras.

I use a Palm Tungsten E, and have no complaints.
Helpful Hint: Get a Hard Case for the thing. There's nothing more annoying then accidentally breaking the thing after entering important info, but before syncing it.
