The Life of Pink
Well, last night turned out all right.
I got the chicken into the fridge to marinate a little after 1830. I started cooking at maybe 1940 or so, so it had a good hour to marinate (and do any last-minute thawing). Two packages of chicken, maybe 2 3/4 lbs after trimming. There's lots left over for the weekend. Might be taking a couple of grilled chicken sammiches to the game on Sunday.
Since everything on TV was either a repeat, a no-show, or stuff we didn't care about, we watched the episodes of Medium and House that were taped earlier in the week.
Sleep is getting better. Good thing it's the weekend coming up, we can sleep in a bit.
I never did have that drink last night. Maybe tonight while watching Stargate SG1.
The weekend doesn't hold anything special.
Saturday will involve a trip to the comic shop and WalMart. Big whee. I'm thinking on getting Chinese takeaway for dinner.
Sunday will be the usual game, though we'll be there a little later than normal, since C has a lot of singing and whatnot at mass, since it's Palm Sunday.
Beyond that, we'll see what it brings.
You know, I don't mind haveing music in my head during the day, especially if it's a really good song, over and over and over.
But right now, someone whap me upside the head with a drainpipe -- I have the chorus to "It's Raining Men" stuck in there! WTF do I have that there? C'mon, switch the mental stations here...
After Sunday, I'll be singing Tom Lehrer's "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park" since it'll be spring...
Okay, music's switched... "Locomotive Breath." Maybe I can go through the whole Aqualung album, or at least what the brain remembers of it.
Okay, now it's much later in the day and I'm absolutely knackered. Can't wait to get home and relax... well, relax after we figure out dinner, since C is still on the no-meat-on-Friday-Lent thing...
Nothing more to report.
Carry on.
