And so it begins... here's my day so far.
My typical routine is to give Marcus some formula sometime after 2300 so he can start to sleep with a full tummy. That was no problem, he was in his bassinet before midnight.
After that, I usually stay out in the living room and have a snack while watching TV, typically M*A*S*H. I try to conk out before 0100.
As per usual, this happened.
I awoke sometime before 0400, and transferred to the bed. Thing was, my lower back was hurting, so I couldn't get comfortable.
Marcus would typically wait until 0500 or later to start fussing, but this morning, he started around 430. Colleen got up and fed him, saying, "It's 430, Cops isn't on yet, so we read more from the book." (She's gotten hooked on watching Cops. I can't explain why.)
I tried to get more sleep, but with my back the way it was, I couldn't find a comfortable position.
My alarm goes off at 645, so I decide to get up, get the trash together, grab a shower, and get out the door, since I also had a lab appointment this morning before work.
At 745 (at the latest), I arrive at Fallon, and get my arm needled. The guy was good. I didn't even really feel the needle. Last time I had blood drawn, it felt like they were digging around with the needle. This was a pleasant one. And believe me, I'm used to getting pricked.
So when I got back to the car, it was probably 750 at the latest, a bit earlier than I normally leave. Still, I lit out, and took the extra time to stop on the way to get some orange juice. I arrived at work sometime around 830. I had a quick breakfast before the day's work would begin.
We were supposed to have a support meeting tonight, but one of the key people (the one who preps reports and such) is out today, so I doubt we'll have it. I'm still just going to get some sort of takeaway for dinner for us tonight, so we'll have time to clean the place before Mom-in-Law arrives.
