So my brother in law (amazingfranco) was up for a brief visit from Sunday night until, effectively, last night. He decided to check into a hotel Tuesday night so he could sleep late and get a better start on the trip back home after resting up. The key factor in that was that silvara77 has a class today, and had to be up bright and early this morning, and he wouldn't be heading out until either later this morning or sometime this afternoon. Since he doesn't have a house key, and I leave for work around 800, this was the best option.

By the by, Kung Fu Hustle is a rather good flick. I'd advise on watching it. It wasn't the comedy I thought it was going to be (like Shaolin Soccer), but it had its elements of comedy and highly cinematic kung fu/wu xia style of action.
Plus, being the gamer geek that I am, I was trying to figure out how to model the characters and maneuvers in the HERO system... especially since I have the books to do it.

Saturday is the company picnic here. Sounds like it's going to be rather good.
Also, Mom in Law comes up on Saturday for nearly a week. I don't mind her being up here one bit. She's welcome to stay as long as she wants anytime. She just loves seeing her grandson. (Hell, who doesn't love seeing Marcus?) Just gotta remember to stock up on the beer for her.
Sunday, we're having my parents over for a small cookout in our backyard. Our landlord has made sure that we have the yard and grill reserved for us, as our downstairs neighbors (nice as they are) have this habit of taking control of everything. (More on them later in a Friday FU/rant.) Not sure what we're having -- possibly burgers and/or beer can chicken. Gotta remember to get some Killian's or something for that.
