Friday night: To be honest, I don't think anything special really happened. It was just pretty much staying in, sitting in front of the tube.
silvara77's really getting into Angels and Demons. She just can't put it down. She's eager to get it done so she can start The DaVinci Code.
The day, though, was much different. I was up well before the dawn so I could drive my parents to the Logan shuttle in Framingham. They're currently out in Terre Haute, Indiana, visiting my grandfather (mother's side) in the hospital after a quad bypass. I wish I could have gone with them, but I need to stick around here in case a job situation crops up. I spent most of the day recovering from lack of sleep. However, while they're away, I'm the one who's checking on their house daily, and making two trips a day there to feed their cats.
I believe I made some marinated chicken and rice for dinner that night.
Saturday: What was originally going to be another afternoon of gaming turned out to be otherwise. The game was called off because
7threality was under the weather, and our GM didn't want to continue on just yet without him. No biggie. I did have the gaming itch that day, though, so I'm coming up with a Plan B game for whenever someone is out. Sort of a cross between D&D 3.5e and Hackmaster. I made a loaf of bread in the bread machine, and we just sort of hung out at home. Dinner was leftover "Not Quite Thanksgiving Leftover Bake" (which consists of, usually, a stuffing base, with a layer of turkey and gravy, and topped with mashed potato... however, I used chicken since I didn't have any turkey right now). I don't remember what we watched on TV that night, though... must not have been too memorable. I do know that we watched The Rundown in the afternoon, though...
Sunday:
silvara77 had a long morning at church. She was the lector for the 830 mass, and sang in the choir for the 830 and 1030 masses. Afterwards, we went to our Sunday afternoon D&D game. Afterwards, we went to my parents' place to feed the kitties, but
silvara77 wasn't feeling so hot, so we didn't stick around. We came back home where we just rested, finished off the Leftover Bake, and just sacked out. I finally got to see the "Romancing the Bird" episode of Good Eats. When next I do a whole chicken or large amount of turkey, I'm seriously considering a brine bath before cooking. Oh, and I made another loaf of bread last night, since a loaf doesn't last long around here.
Monday morning: Woke up earlier than I normally do, because I had to go over to the 'rents' place and take out the garbage, since the truck comes around rather early. Fed the kitties and came back here to help
silvara77 get her lunch together before she left for school. And what do I have planned for today? Well, in between episodes of Mail Call, I'm going to take bottles up to the store for the deposit return (plus it'll get them out of my car). Lunch will be eggs on toast with sausage. Dinner will be "turkey pucks" and pierogi. I'm also planning to do some cleaning around here, including laundry. Tonight, I'll work on my "Plan B" campaign notes.
End of report.
Carry on.
