| Machinegun You preferred a weapon with 38% power over speed and 81% range over melee. |
| You use a Machinegun. Phenomenal range and rate of fire more than make up for the lack of mobility that a full machinegun warrant. Though a machinegun lacks the punch of heavier artillery, it is still an exceedingly potent infantry weapon and can fire continuously for a long time. Your enemies will run for cover as you pepper the landscape with bullets. |

Pink's Life
And so starts another work week. Seems like the weekends fly by, ne?
And what a work week it will be: drab. dreary, rainy, unseasonably chilly... sounds like a time to make some beef stew, if you ask me. Or a chicken casserole. Some sort of comfort food that'll stick to the ribs.
Here's what I managed to do:
- Finally got to watch The Village. Wasn't impressed. Didn't have the big shocker of an ending like Sixth Sense.
- Usual runs to the comic shop and the market.
- Get a bit of rest and some nice bonding time with Marcus.
- Picked up a copy of Dead Beat, the latest book in The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Placed Veangeance, the latest from Richard "Demo Dick" Marcinko, on pre-order.
- Watched King Arthur - the Director's Cut. Not too bad, typical British historical story, full of Saxon violence. Thing is, I kept trying to think of the movie in terms of D&D -- levels, feats, etc.
- Enjoyed a weekend of knee pain. Left knee. Been having problems with it for years, ever since junior high. Nothing new, really. I'll see if those portable heating pads will work.
What I didn't get done:
- Making a huge batch of my famous and tasty egg salad.
- Completing the data backups on the home PC.
- Reinstalling XP on my home PC, followed by the massive reinstallation of everything else.
- Any sort of cleaning in the front room. I'm saving that for my time off.
- Posting pics online. That will happen after the PC is up and running again.
So here's the whole kaboodle: Starting at 1730 this Friday, I will not be reporting to work until between 830 and 900 Monday 6 June. Why? Two weekends, a holiday, and my four floating days, that's why. I'm going to help Colleen with stuff around the house, as well as continuing to bond with Marcus and getting stuff in the front room done.
Summer plans: At some point in July, Colleen's mom will drive up here, pick Colleen and Marcus up, and take them back down to Manassas for a week or so. This is so her side of the family can have a look at him.
In August, I think we're planning to have Marcus baptised. Now all we have to do is ask the godparents-to-be.
I also want to start writing stuff... fiction, gaming material...
I also want to hit the paintball fields at least once. I need to get new clothes for it though...
More of these later after I think about them and get a few other things done.
Oh, and props and thanks go out to Colleen's coworkers and friends at the school, who will be providing us with dinners every so often.
Now, as for Sith... I'd like to see it on the big screen, perhaps when I have the time off. However, there's one little fly in the ointment on making plans for anything. Fear not, though, for my Dad has already said that he would babysit for us. The cost: spending time with the kiddo. He likes doing that a lot.
Who can blame him, really?
For some excitement at work this morning, we had a deer sighting. A young doe just kept walking along the company property. It was interesting to see this. Everyone kept fawning (ah-hah) over the scene.
Ah well, enough nattering...
