It appears that Al Sharpton and Jess Jackson have won.

Don "The I-Man" Imus has been fired by both MSNBC and CBS Radio.
All this over one little thing he said. Tiny detonator, massive explosion.
All Howard Stern ever got were fines and suspensions. Imus was originally suspended. Now he's out of a job.

And suddenly, once again, there is the dearth of anything good on the radio in the morning.
First, it was Bob and Tom getting booted off of the Fox here in Worcester. That was a few years ago. They were replaced by a local show that was about as funny as a night cramp.
Next, David Lee Roth was shown the door within the past year. I actually liked the show. He was a good host, he had personality, and most important, it showed that he had a brain in his head.
Now, Imus. *sigh*

I need a better stereo in my car, something into which I can plug my iPod. I've got tons of Penn Jillette's show on podcasts that I can listen to. (Now there's another radio show that's gone, but it was never carried up here, and it was a mutual agreement to end it.)

I know this is a trivial gripe concerning the whole Imus thing, but hey... I've got to have something to listen to in the morning... guess it'll be NPR now...
