You know, I hate to say this, but right now, this day doesn't feel any more special than the rest.
Situation: The snow is flying outside, coating everything in a thick blanket of white at a fairly good clip. Every school surrounding Worcester closed today -- except for Shrewsbury, so naturally, Colleen has to brave the white muck and go in. I have to come in too. I probably could have just said, "Hang the sense of it," and call in, but no, I'm too nice a guy to do that.
Why is this day any different from any other weekday?
Thirty-five years ago, this poor sod set foot on this paltry planet in a seldom-used birthing room at a US Naval Station in Menitra, Morocco.
Yeah, you heard right, I was born abroad. (But as you can tell, the operation was a success.)

I do want to thank sfogliatella, potch1214 and ladyinareddress for remembering.

I still have to choose a place to have my birthday dinner. It's not going to be tonight due to the weather, and I doubt this weekend will work either, as Mom-in-Law will be visiting while Colleen and I go to her school's Winter Ball.
I've also been asked what I want. Up until yesterday, I didn't have a defined list. Now I do:

• GURPS Powers


• GURPS Banestorm (Not high on the list, I'd rather have Powers first.)


• The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Tertiary Phase and Quandary Phase -- new radio show productions that were aired in the past couple of years, with the original cast.


• Dangermouse on DVD -- I remember this cartoon from my early teenage years... and I've missed it!

And since coming back from lunch, I found out that they're not doing birthday cakes anymore. Not that it really mattered to me, but it would have been nice, you know? Knowing my luck, though, they'd get something with coconut, to which I have a bit of a stomach allergy. *shrug*

But I digress...


I'm still working on stuff for some GURPS campaigns...
Fantasy -- More D&Dish than the normal fantasy stuff. I could use Powers to convert some feats and special abilities. Might even use my ideas for The City in GURPS.
Psychoses -- magic/psi system in the works.
