Pain in back/butt/upper thigh has, for the most part, gone... and good riddance, too, However, I'm going to keep various suggestions that were given to me in mind, just in case it crops up again before the trip.

New show to suggest: Strange. It stars Richard Coyle (Jeff of Coupling fame) as a disordained vicar who now spends his time studying and hunting demons. There's only a pilot episode and one series of episodes, but it's pretty good. Very X-Files-ish in a lot of ways. Unfortunately, BBC America is not showing it. We've been watching it on Showtime Beyond, one of the digital cable stations.

I'm not sure if I have the count right for the trip. Today's the 26th of March. We drive down to VA on the 10th of April. By my count, that's 15 and a wakeup, including today, is that right?

Thanks to a lazy Sunday game session a few weeks ago where we played British Rail, I've kind of gone onto the tycoon-based computer game kick. I downloaded the demo for Railroad Tycoon 3. First time I tried the scenario, I completely botched things up. You've got like 30 years to connect St Louis and Cleveland. I tried to do it in one swell foop with only one train stopping everywhere. Big mistake. So, last night, I just start connecting cities, with one train running on each leg. Next thing I know, I'm raking in the profits rather well. I rather like the game. Who knows, maybe I'll pick up the full version if it's cheap enough. Then again, I'm still waiting for CSI to come down in price a little.

Dentist appointment this afternoon. Round 2 on the RC for this one tooth. I'm going to ask for another scrip of Vicodin for the trip, as a just in case sort of thing. I'll be packing that along with regular Tylenol and ibu...

That's all I can think of right now... More later if/when news warrants...

Tomorrow, we get to see what happens to our young characters in the "Youth Gone Wild" D&D 3.5e campaign...
