Gods, this day is going slow...
It feels like I've been here all day, and it's only getting onto 1100am. I feel drained and wiped out. Plus I have this mystery cough that started during the last couple of days in Jamaica. Maybe I inhaled a different type of pollen, and have a mild allergy to it? I don't know. The Nyquil helped me sleep though.
On the plus side, Colleen and I have started our Spring Clean of the apartment... this was spurred on by the evidence of at least one little critter that was probably just waiting for Julius to be gone for a little while. The dining room looks much much better, and there's a definite airiness about the main rooms now. As soon as we saw the signs of Gerald (I don't know why I call him that), we said, "Julius, you have a job to do." Every time I got up during the night, he'd pad over to me and meow, as if checking in and reporting that he's seen nothing. I'm not worried about those little things, not with a cat who outweighs one of them by like 3200 times...
Another plus side is that I'm sort of working on a Stargate campaign that's set a little ahead of the current TV series by a few years. More details on that once they're fleshed out a bit more. I'm still reading the book. I leafed through it a few times in Virginia, but now I'm actually sitting down and reading it page by page so I can figure out where I want to go with this. Hopefully I'll have something figured out by summer... and hopefully I will have a space and time and a group to play it...
