Cars: I got my car back, thanks to Dad helping out with the repair bill. Now Colleen's car is in the same shop. It was in a couple of weeks ago (after we got back) for a recall where the Check Engine light would go on. Recall repairs were done, light was out. As soon as she prepped to pull it out of the lot, the light went back on again. She had someone come out to the car and have a look at it, and he said that it was something to do with the timing on the computer, and that there shouldn't be any problems with driving it. So, now she's rather concerned about it, and had it brought in today. It's costing us $74 just to have someone look at it. That's one hour's labor charges. We're in the wrong business. I told her that if they do find something that's not as simple as flicking a switch or something like that, then ask if it's safe to drive, and when she goes down to VA this summer, have the dealer that's on really good terms with her family have a look at it. I refuse to sign over our paychecks to the car dealer just for repairs.

Food: Breakfast has definitely lost its appeal. For a while, I was on an oatmeal kick, which, truth be told, was probably the best thing I was eating for breakfast for a while, perhaps the best thing I ate all day. Well, unless you take the amount of brown sugar I added into effect (I like a lot of brown sugar in my oatmeal). It was cheap, easy to make, and tasty. Thing is, I killed my craving for it. There's a Honey Dew Donuts right up the driveway from the plant here, and I can always go get a couple of donuts. Thing is, those don't always appeal to me. Yesterday, I tried to polish off three rather thick pancakes from the cafe here at work. No go. They were too filling. The bacon was damned good though, so I think I'm on a bacon kick. I got cereal, toast and bacon this morning. (Next time I cook bacon at home, I'm putting it in the oven instead of in a pan or on the griddle.)

Gaming: Colleen thinks there are times when I take my gaming too seriously, that I just get into it way too deeply. Like this past Saturday, when we were engaged in a rather intensive combat, and my ranger went down... all the way down to -11. That's all dead. As per my long-standing tradition, I took my sheets and threw them over my shoulder. After a bit of time alteration on the GM's part, my ranger didn't snuff it, but was down at -10, which is mostly dead. My argument was that everyone was involved in combat and couldn't tend to him. Then again, we seem to have a cleric with a personality disorder: stingy with the healing skills and spells (to a point), and is either fearless in combat, or will not engage anything at all. Granted, the player's still learning the system, but he's sort of getting the hang of it... Fun game though.

Cat; Julius now weighs 23 pounds. Funny, he doesn't seem it. He's going on a diet starting later this week.

Can't think of much else right now. More later as news warrants.
