Again, not much to really report here...

Friday night: [livejournal.com profile] silvara77 and I decide to get DP Dough calzones for dinner, as it's hot and humid, and I didn't really want to cook anything. [livejournal.com profile] ibabeu came over for a little while, just to hang out, down a Guinness, and have a rap session. He didn't stay too long as he had to work the next day.

Saturday: Mostly an errand day: Wal-Mart, That's Entertainment, the Bead Shop, Austin Liquor (picking up wine coolers and Twisted Tea), and the market. After a brief rest afterwards, my parents came over for Chinese food. [livejournal.com profile] silvara77 and Mum spent their time together dealing with beads, whilst Dad and I watched the Red Sox game. We were both disgusted with the "spin" that the Red Sox GM was putting on the Nomar four-way trade, noting that what he was saying ("We're trying to improve the team") was utter BS. Why they got rid of a great shortstop to pick up a fourth first baseman who's not hitting so well this year was beyond us... In fact, both of the players that the Red Sox picked up had the same batting average (.246) this year. What they need to pick up is a right fielder who can replace Trot Nixon (who's out on injury) and maybe another opening pitcher. However, I'll digress on my diatribe on the deal. I'm sorry to see Nomar go, but at least now I'll watch the Cubs a little more closely. (Dad already does, as he's been a lifelong Cubs fan.)

Sunday: Not much of a day, either. Since it was hot and humid, we just took it easy. I went out to the market once again, and [livejournal.com profile] silvara77 went to Mass and a session to help set up the Vacation Bible Study classes that she's teaching this week. Lunch and dinner were all leftovers from the previous few days. Nothing truly exciting here.

Which brings us to another work week with Monday.
