Still a dark, dreary, rainy day. Bit on the raw side too. Temperature hasn't even reached 50 as of 10am. Some of the leaves are changing already, and that's cool. I love autumn. It's one of my favorite seasons.
If I didn't have so much on my mind, I'd go through my comic boxes, get a stack for reading, gather up some drinks and snacks and just curl up on the couch for an afternoon's veg. That's what I like to do on days like this.
However, it's not meant to be.
Julius is going to the vet this afternoon. He hates the trip. This is the only time when we take him anywhere in a carrier cage. He absolutely hates the thing. When we drive to VA, he's just on a leash, so he can roam a bit. For the vet, though, they require the carrier. So we'll be treated to the sounds of him yowling his head off as we drive across town and get to see the vet's new office, which we hear is rather cool.
Went to Petsmart this morning to get some dry cat food. Could have walked out with two brothers for Julius -- a four-year-old and a five-year-old, both neutered male tabbies. Nice looking kitties, but we couldn't do that to our little guy.
Think I'll get my head down for a little bit before I consider lunch.
No more to report.
Carry on.

*snicker* And who the hell am I calling little? That cat was a beast even the last time I saw him, which was years ago. LOL.

And the cat you remember would most likely be Mouse. He passed on a few years back. Julius is like him in build and coat, but not in color or in demeanor. He's a friendly sort, where Mouse would run from anyone.
There are times when I see Julius doing something that would remind me of Mouse, though...
