Okay... in the past few months, I've read Angels and Demons, The DaVinci Code, both by Dan Brown, and Conspiracies by F Paul Wilson (part of his Repairman Jack series.
What I'm looking for are more books that would deal with conspiracies, secret societies, and the like... Fiction, please.
Any suggestions? I'll let you know if I have it and/or read it.

I suggest "Shibumi" by an author named Trevanian.
Basic premise is that the world is run by a secret government.
He also wrote "The Eiger Sanction", which Clint Eastwood made into a movie in the 70's.

I'm also assuming that you made it through the Illuminatus! books back when everyone else was reading them too, right?

I have the first book, and I think I made it through the first 15 pages or so before my mind starting doing a WTF? with all the perspective changes.
I may try it again within the next couple of years, who knows...

I seem to recall that the shorter book ("Masks of the Illuminatus?") was better-written and an easier read, but not as overwhelmingly weird as the original Illuminatus! trilogy.
