Spider Robinson is a science fiction author. He's best known for his Callahan's series, which originally started as a collection of short stories that took place in this weird bar on Long Island, but then grew into full-length novels. Good reads.

gweepco, gweeping, gweepnet, gweeps?

Basically, it has to do with the crowd I hung around with during my WPI days. Apart from being WedgeRats, a good number of us were gweeps, basically computer junkies or people who hung out with computer junkies. The term 'gweep' came from hitting ctrl-g on the old DEC VT100 dumb terminals, which would cause a 'beep' noise which sounded more like 'gweep.'

GweepCo is the above-mentioned group.
Gweeping is basically using computers until all-hours.
