So starting on Saturday and going until the following Saturday, my mom-in-law will be up for a visit. She usually comes up at that time of the year, since C has the week off due to the winter break. This will be a good thing, as C could use the break and the time with her mom.
Me, it'll give me more of a chance to show off my cooking skills. Gotta hit the Food Network website and look for a few recipes.
Also need to get a new air bed for her. The other ones we have developed leaks that won't take a patch.
Valentine's Day went well, though. Over the weekend, I had picked up four cards - two from me, one from Marcus, and one from Julius. I also got her flowers, a box of Russell Stover's, and a gift card from AC Moore. She got me a box of Ghiradelli squares and the Mail Call book, written by the Gunny himself. I didn't even know there was such a book. Afterwards, I made us some of the best Sloppy Joes I've ever made (cumin, chili powder, garlic powder and Worcestershire give it better flavor than using just the Worcestershire and cayenne. Less heat, more flavor.) with scalloped potatoes. Not a bad dinner, really, but I'll make something nice on Wednesday when we both have time. Something with chicken.
On the gaming front, I'm working on a few ideas. One's for a Stargate SG1 campaign, slightly revising my earlier ideas based on this past season, and the other is working on the setting for a D&D 3.5e world, using all the books I've accumulated. Then again, I'm toying with the idea of running events at Total Confusion 2006, so I've got to come up with at least three event ideas.
Nothing more to report.
Carry on.
