Calling All Dads!

Okay, no colors on this one, this one is a straight-up post.

Listen up Dads, Dads-to-Be, and Mommies -- bring the Dads in on this one... I know there are more than a few of you out there who read the usual drivel I post, but this one is a more serious one.

I had a Dad's Class Monday night, and a few things sort of sparked in my mind, just to ask on the emotional side of things.
So here they are.

1. What was your reaction when you first heard that you were going to be a father? First time, not any subsequent kids.
2. What did you feel when your first child was born? Did you get that immediate connection with the kiddo, or did it come later on?
3. How did you release the emotional joy you felt once the kid was in the world? Did you do a little end zone dance? Scream, shout?

Answers to all of the above, and any other tidbits you'd like to share are most welcome.
There will be other Dad-related convos in the future, I'm sure.
My answers will come in a month or so... remind me, someone...

Sort of non-related: Did you pass out cigars? Real or chocolate?
And can anyone recommend a good place to get chocolate cigars? (Planning on needing quite a few...)

As a first time Mommy, I went from shock, to tears of joy to a brief period of terror (I have to think of someone else besides myself) that lasted about 2 minutes, back to joy and exhileration.

Herberts can hook you up, so can Hershey's for the cigars...I believe in both places you can have them personalized.
