What a weekend...

Friday night...
For some reason, Colleen and I get into it over at our friends' apartment (just across the driveway), and Darryl kicks us out. His wife, Trish, says that we shouldn't have to worry about it, he's just being an asshole, he gets like that. (I've known this man for probably about fifteen years, and yes I can attest to his own temper, but it has never approached that level before.) Colleen gets so upset she just walks off down Lincoln Street. Trish and I end up going after her when we're going out to get the Chinese food. We get her back into the flat, we eat, then we go bowling. She seems to calm down, but is still worried about things. Thank the gods above for Trish... she's a really good friend for Colleen.

Saturday, Colleen's birthday...
We go to the Worcester Art Museum in the morning to see the Samurai art exhibit. All I can say is that it was one of the most beautiful art exhibits I have ever seen. The artwork was just fantastic. The few pieces of arms and armor that were there were breathtaking. I loved it.
I head out for the afternoon, using the excuse of taking bottles back as a ruse. In reality, I'm getting Colleen's birthday presents and a cake.
We then meet up with my parents for C's birthday dinner, and have some of the best Thai food that we've ever had.

Sunday...
Colleen's brother Johnny arrives at about 0430. He crashes here for a while, since he can't check into his hotel as of yet. We end up getting a late start to the day, with a few changes in the plan here and there.
We get in a minor fender-bender in the WalMart parking lot. No information was exchanged, but C is still rather concerned about it... something about being able to track someone down by their license plate. (It happened to her brother before.)
Then comes the blow-up. Tempers (except for mine) flare, and a myriad of things happen. Fortunately things calm down.
C calls her mum to think up an emergency course of action... my mum calls, and she's ticked at me that I hadn't even called Dad on Dad's Day. We had planned on giving him his card and Borders card at lunch, but they declined our invite. We were going to swing by in the afternoon to give it to him, but with the accident and C trying to figure out a course of action, that was delayed. C gets into a real tizzy about it all while we drive over to my 'rents to smooth things over. After a while, everything's calm and repaired...
We end up having a late dinner... DP Dough was closed, which pushed our plans askew, ending up at Quizno's. Good sandwiches though.

As I said, what a weekend... hopefully this week will be better... at least we'll get to huck balls down the alley today and tomorrow...
