(no subject)

Well, it looks to be that time of year again, when a young man's thoughts turn to... bowling. Candlepin, that is. Yep, the summer league is starting back up, and we're in it again.
We had a practice session last Sunday. Two out of three strings, I managed to beat the #1 guy (who's also our anchor) for our team... usually by two or three pins. Third string, I sucked wind in the first half. Another practice this Sunday, first league night is Wednesday this coming week, then it goes back to Tuesday nights.
Last year we came in third, which is pretty good for a team with one person who only bowls in the 60s (and has a nasty habit of getting a lot of 1 and 2 boxes), an absolute novice, and someone who had done it before, but had a hell of a long break. (That would be me in the last description there.)
I'll keep everyone updated. I hope I can beat my personal best string, which was a 117 in a casual game.
