eTools

A couple of people (primarily 7threality and ibabeu have asked me and/or seemed interested in a gaming software package called eTools, which is a character generator/tracker and campaign aid for D&D 3e and 3.5e.

Anyone else who would be interested might want to check out Code Monkey Publishing, the makers of eTools. If anyone else decides to get it, I can point you guys to some really cool fansites with better character sheets.

Mobile phones...

At some point, I may want to upgrade my phones with my provider (T-Mobile), or, in some cases better still, switch providers.
Where I work (Dudley), my signal can go from two bars to just barely getting a signal to drop. Plus, there are spots on 395/290 where there is no signal. I can't use my phone at my parents' house across town. On top of this, my phone is most likely obselete (Nokia 5190), and could be replaced by one which might draw a better signal.
What I'm looking for is this, in the long run, should I switch providers:

• A family plan that has free long distance. Free roaming is not a high concern right now.


• Service area that extends into northern Virginia and is consistent along the I-95 corridor (for when we make our long car trips).


• A phone that is more up to date and might draw in a better signal. (Two phones, actually) These phones shouldn't cost us very much after savings. (Free would be best.)


• Better coverage around the local area.


• A good number of anytime minutes. We currently have 1000, but I don't think we use that many in a month. We could go down to maybe 500 at the minimum.


• All this for $80 a month at most.

Any ideas/suggestions?
