There was once a snail who always dreamed of becoming a race-car driver. One day he learned that his uncle had died and left him a large amount of money! Now his dream could be realized! He bought himself a race car, souped it up, and then painted large red letter S's all over it.

When he was at his first race, a friend of his asked why he had painted his car that way. "Simple," the snail replied. "When people see me and my race car go zooming down the track, I want them all to exclaim, 'Look at that S-car go!'"

It's been a slow day today.
I spent most of the morning (after waking up) going through yesterday's Worcester Telegram and Boston Globe, looking at the Help Wanted sections. Found a few openings to send resumes to, so that's what I did after I took Ella Enchanted and The Punisher back to Blockbuster. Stopped at the market for a few things. Came home, had a bit of lunch, arranged an interview appointment for Thursday morning, and also called the vet to make an appointment for Julius. That's in two weeks.
Cleaned up the dining table a little bit, and talked with [livejournal.com profile] silvara77 on the phone briefly. Also took a walk for a little bit.

So, nothing too exciting here... wish me luck on that interview though.

Well, the buses are back in operation, which is both a good and a bad thing.
Good: People who don't have cars for whatever reason can now get around the city once more.
Bad thing: There's a bus stop right at the end of my driveway, so I'll have to duel with those behemoths either when I'm trying to get out of the driveway, or when I'm trying to pull in. Either way, that's a nuisance.
Oh well. Part of the wild sounds of the city.

We're getting new neighbors next month. The first floor apartment is going to a guy we know from bowling and his girlfriend. Fortunately, we know that he's a nice guy, and we're hoping she's all right too. They're bringing three female (spayed) cats with them, so Julius won't be the only feline here.

[livejournal.com profile] silvara77 and I are slowly but surely getting psyched about the pregnancy. Well, at different rates, at least. She researches something new every day. I'm learning it as we go. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about this. The coming of either Marcus Cole or Meaghan Elysabeth will be one of the best things that ever happened to us.

[livejournal.com profile] silvara77's school is holding their annual Family Fun Fair this coming weekend. Rides, games, auctions and the like. On Saturday night, my parents, [livejournal.com profile] silvara77 and I will be forming a team for the Pub Quiz at the fair. I'm hoping we'll do well, since I've been referred to as a font of useless knowledge.

I have an interview in Westboro on Thursday morning. It's for a contract job that'll be in Nashua. The pay will be good, and I don't mind the commute. I've done it before. Wish me luck.

Later on tonight, probably around 10 or so, I'll be having my nightly relaxing drink... Midori and Dew, I think. I've started to do that this past weekend. Just before bed, really. Nice way to round out the day.

More later as news warrants.
