The Life of Pink

Tuesday, to say the least, turned out to be interesting.
The late afternoon started off with the biweekly Customer Support meeting, which was actually put off until this week from the previous one due to inclement weather. (This means there's another one next week in its regular slot.) It started about five or ten minutes late, and I still left before the meeting was over and done with, but still maybe five minutes or so behind my own schedule. I drove like a bat out of Hades (while staying as safe as possible) in order to get home in time. I wanted to get there just after 1800. I made it there about ten minutes behind. C was already packing pillows into the car. I ran upstairs, programmed the VCR to tape House, then ran back down and into the car. We made it to the room with like five minutes to spare, so I went into the cafeteria and bought a bottle of soda. I wasn't in the mood for plain water or juice, I needed something to keep me going.
The class was pretty good. I learned a few things already that I didn't know, and kept pointing a few things out to C that she may have realised, and a few things she didn't know. (I won't go into any details on that.)
I did grab a slice of pizza at the break, but it wasn't all that great. Next time, I'll get a sandwich at one of the other food booths there. Class ended a few minutes late, but it was worth it.
So now that'll be every Tuesday for the next four weeks (after this past one... five in total). Plus I've got a Dad's class on a Monday evening sometime soon... 4 April by the looks of my calendar.
So anyway... we get home about 2130 or so, and C calls her Mom to tell her about the class. Me, on the other hand, get into jammies and have a snack of toast and cheese, since I'm still a little peckish. I help C get settled in using a newer position that we learned in class (just involves a couple more pillows), and she sacks out while I watch Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Family Guy. I do manage to get some decent sleep, fewer wakeups.

I've got Aikido tonight. I feel sort of guilty about mising last week's class, but I was still suffering from a bug and I wanted to get better. I still don't quite feel 100%, but I'm nearly there.

Gamer's Haven
Okay, I'm sort of thinking about what gaming projects I'll tackle when I get some free time, after the house is in order and the new furniture is in place. Here's what I have thought of:

  • Stargate 2012 -- My spin on the Stargate SG1 thread, with the new history starting just after the fall of Anubis and the Atlantis expedition. The year is 2012, and the SGC has expanded greatly. The PCs are members of one of the teams that go through the gate.

  • Rainbow 6 Bravo -- This is for next year's TotalCon. Not sure which system... most likely GURPS, but I will be looking at HERO and a few others as well. Counter-terrorism.

  • Force Recon -- Again, for TotalCon

  • D&D 3.5e campaign using a big city-state based on Worcester and the surrounding towns.

  • Hack 3.5e -- A cross between D&D 3.5e and Hackmaster. I know I'll get lynched for it.

  • Bureau 13 -- I always think of this one. Going to work on rules for HERO and d20. If nothing, perhaps I can try to get a decent horror game out of it, using elements from Call of Cthulhu d20 and D20 Modern.

I'm pretty much caught up on the D&D books for now, except for maybe the new Psionics one, but that can wait. Just need to get some new data bits for eTools and I'm running.

That's all for now.
Nothing more to report.
Carry on.
