Pink's Life
Another weekend has come and gone, but this one was one of the better ones that I've had as of late.
Those of you who bet on Marcus coming before the furniture... well... you lose.
Cue up Saturday morning. We're both awake around 0700 so we could get ready for the furniture guys. They show up promptly at 0800, and start bringing everything up and getting it all together. Within 45 minutes, they were out the door and on their way to the next stop on their schedule, and we had our bedroom set! We wasted no time in getting the room back in order. C started in with her clothes, as did I, then I tackled the TV and DVD/VCR setup.
My parents came over soon after, and we did some rearrangement of furniture in Marcus' room. The afternoon was filled with having lunch at the 99, followed by a viewing of The Hichhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (review to follow in a separate post). The rest of the night was filled with putting clothes away in the new furniture, having Thai for dinner, and general relaxing on the new bed. (My back still has to get used to the new bed. It's comfy, but there's an underlying firmness to which I'm not used. To me, it feels a lot like a hotel bed, still.)
Sunday started with the typical mass for C, run up to Price Chopper for me. We did a run to Auburn Mall to the maternity shop in there, only to find that the only staff member on duty that day couldn't help us because she didn't know how to fit someone for a nursing bra. This set off a minor rant from C when we were out of earshot of the store. The trip to WalMart was all right, no big thrills there. The real highlight of Sunday was the return of Family Guy and the premiere of American Dad. Both were highly amusing.
And now it's Monday. And here's the interesting part of it:
C has an appointment with her doctor at 1500 today at Medical Center.
I have an appointment with my GI at 1530, same building.
We both have the breastfeeding class at 1800, same building.
We're going be be spending like five hours there today. Something is rather screwed up about that. At least we won't have to pay for parking.
And now it's just down to the waiting...
End of report.
Carry on.
