I feel like utter hell this morning...
Marcus finally got to sleep (and stayed there) just before 11pm.
I had a snack, conked out during Family Guy on Cartoon Network, and woke up around 100, and hauled myself into bed.
Right around 300, I woke up, shivering heavily. Mind you, it wasn't that chilly. Plus the bed has a sheet, thermal blanket, comforter and a thin polar fleece throw, two people and a large cat. I should not have been cold.
The shivering was so intense that my whole body was tight, and beginning to ache.
I even got up and grabbed another comforter to put on the bed.
The shivering lasted about an hour, and between 400 and 500 (when the alarm goes off but Colleen stays in bed through snoozes until about 530), I barely went in and out of dozing. Same thing after she crawled out of bed to take a shower.
When she got out of the shower, I helped her make her lunch, and got the trash together for today's pickup, then settled in the living room as she took care of Marcus. After they left, I put out all the lights, left the TV on, and tried to doze until about 730.
Even after a hot shower, a biscuit for breakfast, and not stopping at any store for liquids (I'll survive on what's here in the soda machine), I still feel like hell.
Hopefully I'll make it through the day.

In other news...
Mom-in-Law is coming for another visit, arriving Saturday and leaving Wednesday. I'm going to try my hand at making a beer and cheese soup with smoked sausage in it. Sounds good, if you ask me.

Is it time to go home yet?

It's well after lunch now, and after eating said repast, I'm feeling a bit more refreshed. Not 100%, mind you, but I feel like I can cope a little better. We'll see how long it will last. I may conk out the moment I'm home and in my comfies.
I'm still clueless as to why I got such... chills last night. I think that, barring when Marcus goes to bed and stays asleep, tonight should be an early night.

What makes things equally less energetic is all this rain and wind. This is the kind of day where I'd want to be home (especially after last night), snug on the couch with mindless TV, chicken noodle soup (either Lipton or Mrs Grass... Campbell's wouldn't cut it), a sammich, munchies and a really good book to polish off.
But alas, I drove to work and made it. *sigh*

Just over 3.5 hours to go until I'm headed home in this slop.

At least it's quiet today... but too quiet equals boring. What next, the phones go out? Power? (Please?)

Okay, I know I have to ring up radio stations to return calls and whatnot.
I realize that a fair number of these stations are religious stations.
Fine, I don't mind that at all.
But please, please don't give me a religious-based greeting, like one that starts out with "Jesus Loves You" or anything to that effect. You're just shoving your beliefs down my throat. It just rubs me the wrong way. Please keep it to yourself.
Next person that does that to me gets a Bright Blessings or some other Wiccan greeting, see how they like it.
