Sort of a new "article" that I'll write from time to time. Most of the ideas I'll get from topics I hear either on the drive into work in the morning (typically David Lee Roth's show or Imus), or something I heard about the night before.
What I'll try to do is a little research into the topic at hand, and put forth the entree.
Remember, this will be potluck -- let's see what the rest of the folks at the table can bring to the party.

This week's topic: School uniforms at non-private schools.

Where I grew up, public school uniforms were nothing more than solid blue jeans and a white shirt (girls wore a blue skirt and white button shirt). So, that wasn't too much on a burden for poor families. It's actually cheaper in the long run and much better since the poorer kids don't need to keep up with the richer kids on the latest fashions.
