So the concert has come and gone, and I feel all the better for having gone and seen Roger Waters yet again. Every time I go, the shows just get better and better.
Here's the setlist, with comments.
Set One
1. In the Flesh -- Standard opening for him on the past two tours.
2. Mother
3. Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun -- I love this one. It's the oldest song he plays, and it was so good with the motion picture backdrop, with clips of the old original members, including the late Syd Barrett.
4. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I - V) (abridged) -- Again, another tribute for Syd. When his picture appeared on the backdrop, the crowd cheered.
5. Have a Cigar -- For me, one of the highlights of the show. This version kicked ass and took names. Much better than the versions from the Pros & Cons and Radio KAOS tours.
6. Wish You Were Here -- A classic. The whole audience sang along.
7. Southampton Dock -- Good song from the final cut
8. The Fletcher Memorial Home -- Another good song, and very fitting with today's times.
9. Perfect Sense, Parts 1 and 2 -- Another song that fits with today's goings-on, this one from Amused to Death.
10. Leaving Beirut -- A new piece that was originally released on the web. This is an autobiographical piece about Roger hitchhiking back to England through Lebanon at the age of 17, and he was taken in for the night by a kind family. Of course, he throws in his usual political barbs at W, which were well-received by most of the crowd. The images on the screen were done by comic book artists Bill Sienkiewicz and Neal Adams, both of whom I know of and have seen their works. (I recognised Neal Adam's artwork right off.) Awesome.
11. Sheep -- The best part of the night. My favorite song off of Animals. It rocked the house. Now I have heard all of the album live at some point in time or another.
Set Two (The Dark Side of the Moon)
1. Speak to Me
2. Breathe
3. On the Run
4. Time
5. The Great Gig in the Sky
6. Money
7. Us and Them
8. Any Colour You Like
9. Brain Damage
10. Eclipse
This was all pretty much standard, and an excellent job was done by all.
Encore
1. The Happiest Days of Our Lives
2. Another Brick in the Wall, Part II
3. Vera
4. Bring the Boys Back Home
5. Comfortably Numb
One cool thing about this tour is that Roger's son Harry is playing keyboards and Hammond organ.
All in all, a great time. Getting out of the Tweeter Center wasn't too bad. The show ended at 11pm, and we were getting onto 495 around 1145. Not bad at all.

Couple of questions for you...
At the opening of "Leaving Beirut", when Roger said it was to our and his countries "eternal shame" that we invaded Iraq, he was booed HEAVILY. But then, during the song with it's updated lyrics, when he put down Dubya's apparent lack of education or brain, the crowd cheered louder than the music.
I didn't get this at all.
Being a semi-outdoor show, during Sheep, a guy walked through the crowd with the inflatable pig, and at the song's crescendo, released it into the sky. (REALLY cool!)
And to just ask, what songs have you heard live from either Floyd or Waters from More, Ummagumma (not counting the live tracks), Atom Heart Mother or Obscured By Clouds? The latter is one of my VERY favorite albums from the Floyd and IMHO totally under rated thanks to being the cd right before mega stardom and Dark Side.
In all, LOVED the show as much as Gilmour's in May.
Now that I have seen Waters, Gilmour and Wright within four months, I'm considering telling people that I have seen Floyd this year.

And thank you, I forgot to mention the pig. We had it at our show too, and somehow, it broke loose. I heard it was an accident, but hey, when you think about what happened during the photo shoots for the cover of Animals at the Battersea Power Station...
I do like various songs off of ObC, especially "Childhood's End." (Became a fan of that one when I heard The Machine play it at a show.) "If" and "Fat Old Sun" are great songs from AHM. I haven't really given Ummagumma a listen, and my copy of More still has the wrapper on it, I think.

Yeah, that may have been it, but, this is literally SECONDS after huge cheers for, "No way I'd rather spend my birthday.
My point is double: First, you boo invading Iraq, but cheer putting down the man who *Survey says* INVADED IRAQ! Second, have you NOT listened to the lyrics all these years and realized Rog is an unabashed socialist and heavily leans to the left? Hel-LO!
re: The Pig.
At the end of the show, Waters did say, smiling, "Has anyone seen where my fucking pig went?"
re: The 4 Albums
I was trying to bust your balls a bit, as you had said you had seen songs from every album. I went for the 4 most obscure (to the general public) as far as Waters, Gilmour and the like playing songs off of them.
So, what would your dream Floyd set be, upon a reunion?

I don't think I said I saw songs from every album. Just all the songs from Animals done live at some point or another. By far, Sheep was done the best.
Dream set:
Oh gods, I don't know... so much to choose from...
Fearless would be excellent...

Fearless would DEFINITELY be in my set.
Gilmour did "Wots... Uh The Deal" in May. It. Was. HEAVEN!

The Machine play up by you, too?!?!
I've actually played the lead singer/guitarists Paul Reed Smith!

Back in the day, I would always chat with them after the show, just for a few minutes.
PRS? Thought he still used a Strat...
