So, where to begin???

Tuesday night, 23 December...
I get home before 630pm, and help out with the last of the packing up of the car, including Jack the cat in his carrier.
We drove to my parents' house, picked up Marcus, and off we went. We ended up hitting the Mass Pike a little after 8pm.
Colleen took the first shift, driving until the first rest area (Molly Pitcher) on the Jersey Tpk atfer you get off the Garden State Parkway. I got some food, and took over for a while.
However, in the wee hours, even with a can of Amp and sipping at one of those 5-hour evergy shots, my eyes were drooping. We stopped at Delaware House (the only rest area in DE), and I told C that I just wanted to shut my eyes for ten minutes. She was still pumped on a Stok coffee shot, so she ended up driving the rest of the way.
Arrival was around 0500. We got our kit in, and settled to sleep.

Wednesday 24 December
General hanging about. I think I ran an errand or two, can't remember now. Dinner was Foster's done as takeaway. (See Food later on.)

Thursday 25 December
Attacked tree. Marcus was a whirlwind of activity with unwrapping.
Went to C's maternal aunt's house for more gifts and food. Got to try out a Wii, and we were hooked. Discovered that Marcus has mad skillz with Wii bowling.

Friday 26 December
Went to C's paternal uncle's place, meeting up with her two paternal aunts. More food, more gifts.

The rest of the trip was a mix of hanging around, shopping, drinks at night, and going out to eat.
Oh yeah... Colleen found like $350 in AmEx gift cards from her students... and we managed to find a Wii of our own! Now Marcus can sharpen his mad skillz!!!
I also picked up Star Wars: Force Unleashed and MLB 2K8, as well as Carnival. Fun fun fun!!

Sunday 4 January
Packed up car, left VA a little after noon. Did at least half the diriving. Got home after 10pm. Marcus didnt get to sleep until probably midnight.

The Office, Season 4
The Dark Knight
4-pack of Dad's root beer
4-pack of mixed imported seasonal beers
Nice little chest with vines and a pentacle on it
Magnet with Marcus' picture on it for my cube
Best Buy gift card
B&N gift card
Money
Toffees
If there was anything else, I can't remember it...

So here's a breakdown of what was eaten, restaurant-wise...
Foster's Grille --- great char-broiled burgers, good fries, especially when covered in cheese sauce.
Red Robin -- good burgers for a non-fast food chain. Try the Royal -- it's got a fried egg on it.
Captain D's -- think Long John Slver's, and you have the right idea.
Noodles & Company -- Limited selection of noodles (Asian, Italian and American, with four varieties under each), but the pan-fried Asian noodles were great. Yakisoba meets udon noodles.
Cici's -- pizza/pasta buffet. Cheap eats.
Hard Times Cafe -- Chili chili and chili... four kinds (including Texas and Cincinatti)... you can have ir served over pasta, or just in a bowl, or even over Fritos. Great place!

There it is, in a nutshell. I'm sure I've forgotten something somewhere...
