Sort of a weird start...
Trish - 63/50/83 = 196, avg 65.33, 2 spares
Me - 73/79/97 = 249, avg 83.00, 1 strike, 1 spare
Colleen - 84/100/100 = 284, avg 94.67, 5 spares
Darryl - 117/102/147 = 366, avg 122, 3 strikes, 8 spares
We lost strings 1 and 2, won 3 and pins. Won 4 points, lost 4.
Colleen's double centuries there were a highlight. She did damned good. I got my one strike after saying, "I'm too tired to care." Unfortunately, I could not replicate it. Then again, we did start about a half hour or so later than usual, since it was the first week and all.
Darryl made the comment in the first string, "Yeah, the first week is not the week to have a 72 half," which he did in the first string... has to do with the handicap that a team would get.
Fortunately, after a day of not taking any painkillers apart from some Motrin for a headache, I was not sore and achy during the game at all.
Next week, back to Tuesday nights
