Sort of an odd weekend...
Saturday: C and I go over to a friends' house to check on it while they're away. Little yardwork, get some air moving in there, that sort of thing. On the way back home, we stop off to rent a DVD and get lunch. We discover this really great new sandwich place called JoeJoe's on Grafton Street. Great roast beef sandwich. Colleen's roasted turkey sandwich was excellent, according to her. After a brief run to a couple of the markets, we're home. We camp out in the living room with homemade pizzas, a DVD (All the Queen's Men with Eddie Izzard and Matt LeBlanc), and the fan going, since it was rather warm.
Sunday: C starts in on some laundry she needs to do, as well as have a day of using the breadmaker. I run up to the store to get some missing ingredients. Our lunchtime living room picnic includes the DVD Finding Nemo. After that, I started to tackle the front room.
That's when we got a call from our neighbor/bowling teammate Trish. Her sister got in a car wreck late Saturday night, and passed on. Her family's in a bit of a state right now, so they're bowing out of bowling on Tuesday night. C and I are still going though, but we'll be down two players. I hope things will be all right.
(Now you can see why any odd feelings I got were more close to home than anything.)
So now it's Monday again, and back to the daily grind in the world of dreams...
