Well it was an interesting weekend to say the least...
Saturday:
Mostly an errand day. Hit That's Entertainment, stopped at the bank, and then came the ordeal at Best Buy.
You see, I had been wanting to switch mobile phone providers for a while. So, I geared myself up for it, and we went in to switch. We were able to get the account with Cingular all right, but when it came to moving our numbers over, well... that's where the problem was, primarily with T-Mobile. They had my SSN wrong, and when I called into Customer Service to change it to the right number, this peon told me that I had to get something with my SSN on it, along with a utility bill, and go to a T-Mobile dealer so they can fax the information in, and then wait up to three business days for the information to get changed. I was outraged, and told them that I should not have to go through such a hassle for a mistake that T-Mobile made, and then asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor did, however, make the changes on the spot. But, for some reason, Cingular never sent in the second 'port request for Colleen's number. It took over two hours, possibly near three, to get our numbers changed over. But at least we have Cingular now, along with spiffy new phones.
After this ordeal, we went to Dick's Sporting Goods to buy a new air bed, since our old one had developed a small leak in it, and we couldn't find it.
Sunday:
Pretty much a relaxing day. Tried out the new laundromat up the street with a soiled comforter. Nice place. Went to my parents' house for dinner. Came home, watched the Boston fireworks on TV. Found out that the new airbed had a hole in it. Ah bugger.
Monday:
Returned the air bed for a new one.
Went to the new theatres at the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley in Millbury. Beautiful theatres. Saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkhaban. Good flick.
Did a bit of shopping, mostly at the Petsmart there. Found lots of food for Julius, so he's now set for about two months. However, getting out of there was a nightmare. Whoever designed that place so that there's only one lane within the shopping center to get out should be shot. This one woman in a minivan behind us kept honking her horn for us to go. We were saying, "Where the F do you want us to go?" This one car was very nice in letting us out, but most likley noticed how bitchy the minivan was, so denied her access into the lane. Colleen just smiled and waved bye-bye to the minvan woman as we got into traffic.
Another dinner at the parents' place, and back home for a little bit of cleaning up from the weekend.
Finished off Angels & Demons by Dan Brown last night. Going to start up on The DaVinci Code this week. By the time Colleen comes back from her vacation, I should have it done.
Currently waiting on my Overstock.com order of two D&D books: The Complete Warrior and The Complete Divine. I love that place... 40% off the books and a maximum of $2.95 for shipping, and the orders get here quickly, like four days.
More later as news warrants...
