Okay... my own WTF Award goes to... well it's a tie between my car and Bancroft Motors...
A month ago, it died out on me. Okay, had it towed to Bancroft. Not only are they Nissan dealers and repairs, they've got a hell of a reputation. Had the battery, alternator and alt belt replaced, and a crack in a seal repaired. Car ran fine. Couple of odd lights kept lighting up on the dashboard, but nothing that affected the car's performance. (Battery and brake lights on the dash... they just happened to be right next to each other, so I figured that it was just a fritz or summit...)
Well now... I was driving around... all the lights went on on the dash, and the engine died... right in an intersection again, mind you, with pissed off drivers all around me. I call AAA, and it takes like 90 minutes of sitting in a humid, hot car (couldn't have the windows down due to rain... plus I needed a bathroom like you wouldn't believe during this). Well, they show up, have a look at the engine, and say, "That's not a new battery."
Well, all I could think was, WTF??? Did I get rooked by one of the best car dealers in the city? Could be...
It better be that they did something that's under warranty, else I may not have a car... Colleen and I would have to survive somehow on one car, which doesn't sound good to me at all...
