This is not a fun day so far.
The morning drive wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. In fact, it was downright normal, what with the fog and such. The only hiccup was that I ran out of windshield washer fluid. No biggie. Bought some more when I got my breakfast.
I get in, and find out that the other full-time customer support rep is staying home today. Now mind you, there are usually two people here at the CS desk. With him out, it's up to me, who's still pretty much the newbie (but still learning as much as I can), to hold my own. (And I usually do.) So far, it's been a busy morning, answering calls, checking voice mail, making calls, doing paperwork, checking the support inbox... and it's not even noon yet. I'm already knackered.
I think I deserve the other guy's money for what's going on, at least today's wages.
