February 11, 2000. After almost 2 months of e-mailing and chatting on the phone, we finally met. At Dulles, your gate was enclosed by glass and the path was a ramp that reminded me of an amusement park line...you know, walk back and forth between several metal bars. Anyway, I just remember the black hat. You told me you'd be wearing it. That's all I could see, bobbing right then left then right then left. Anticipation building until I could finally see you. I was already head over heels for you, but at that point, my heart just about exploded, and I knew my life would never be the same. I love you.
