Pink's Life
I know I haven't posted much as of late. Things have gone from busy to busier in various parts, but I'll put down what I can as some form of an update.
I was going to post the birth story yesterday, but for some reason the files weren't on the diskette in the laptop. They better be on the laptop, else I'm screwed. Royally. I worked on that bit of writing for nearly two hours, getting the facts and timeline straight.
Marcus and Colleen made it home last night. Everyone was over, and food was delivered from a local pizza joint. Marcus slept through most of what went on, even the car ride home. Once he settles into the car seat, he's comfy and happy. I think he liked the car ride so much, he just conked right out.
Lucky him. We haven't gotten a decent night's sleep since Friday. C had to be on Benadryl one night so she could really conk out. Me, I was on a cot that was, for what it was worth, comfortable, but not for long periods of time.
It's always good to be able to zonk out in your own bed or on your own couch. Though I do admit that I've slept in less comfortable places. The highway though has not been one of them. (Ha ha)
I'm thinking on pretty much writing Sunday afternoon off from anything and everything except for rest. I'll go do a shop in the morning, but after that, it'll be napping and vegging. Okay, cooking dinner is on the list too...
Okay. Just what in the grand name of Mephistopheles is going on with the weather? Yesterday, gorgeous. Tonight, there's a frost advisory. WtF?
I mean, we're supposed to be at least in the mid-60's for average temperature. Plus it's been raining every weekend for the past month or so. Puts a damper (ah hah) on a lot of plans.
I talked with Colleen earlier. My son hasn't had a feeding between 8am and like 1pm or so. Then again, he's been pretty zonked. We're wondering if some of the percocet is getting into his system. Could be, and at least it's keeping him quiet.
Nothing else going on.

Although, I would think that the hospital people would be aware of this when giving meds to a new mom who is planning to breastfeed.

Little one has his first post-hospital pediatrician's appointment today, too. I'm sure questions will be answered.
