I gotta tell you, it's been an interesting time without everyone. I miss the hell out of C and M.

Thursday was the first night without them. I began to create my living space in the living room. I pushed the table over to the entertainment center, and spread out a couple of comforters, each folded in half and one on top of the other. There was just enough space between the couch and table. The big fan in the living room was aimed in that direction so that it would blow across that space. I grabbed the comforter off of the bed for a cover to sleep under. I also had the couch at my disposal for sleeping. I grabbed a burger from out for dinner.
Friday, I ended up conking out during Stargate SG1. When next I woke, it was well after 2200, and the DVR was already recording Monk for me, so I programmed the reruns of Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis.
Saturday was a morning of errands -- That's Entertainment, Shaw's (just a quick stop for some red potato salad with dill), and Bushel 'n' Peck for a sandwich for lunch. I wolfed down most of the sammich when I got home. I put the rest in the fridge for later. I did some work in the front room, and then had dinner at my parents' -- beef shoulder tenderloin (marinated and grilled -- never heard of that cut) with potatoes and salad. Yum!
Sunday morning had a quick trip to Price Chopper for a few odds and sods. When I got home, I worked on a breakfast pizza, which didn't turn out so well, then put the chicken in a marinade for a few hours. I worked more on the front room done (95% of my gaming books now have homes on the shelves), broiled the chicken, and had a nice dinner.
Now it's Monday, my last night alone. I'm just planning on some french bread pizzas and a couple of other leftovers while getting the living room and dining areas back in order. Oh, and figuring out what's wrong with the computer, too. At least getting the error code that's causing the hidden blue screen/reboot. Beyond that, it'll be making the place just so, so C won't freak out or anything when she gets in sometime Tuesday night.

I miss the guys.

I feel the need to hit the fields and go a-splattin'... paintball season, my friend. Thing is, I'll need clothes that fit, fresh paint, and possibly a new goggle system. Any takers for a potential trip to Friendly Fire in Upton this summer, on a day that's not hot and sticky?
It's not a bad price if you have your own gear: $25 for a full day plus free air. The packages with rentals aren't too shabby, I think... field paint prices didn't look outrageous either.
I gots a new barrel for my Tippman ProCarbine that hasn't been used yet...

In a follow-up to my rant on [livejournal.com profile] friday_fu: what they made was a sidewalk cutout for handicapped folks. Nice idea -- executed badly.
