So, Colleen and I decide to make the most of her day off by just having a nice day out.
We drive up to Woburn so I can sign papers for my new contract job.
We go to Burlington Mall for lunch... Chik-Fil-A!
We walk the mall.
We go to Barnes and Noble in Burlington... nice one, two levels, but for some reason, finding a parking spot was absolute murder!
Knowing what Rt 3 can be like in the later hours of the afternoon, I decide to drive Rt 62 to 117 to 495, as a nice scenic ride home.
Well, little did we know...
On 117, right in front of Bolton Spring Farms, this woman decides to make a snap left turn in front of us from the other direction. We end up hitting -- our right front quarter to her right rear. Her bumper's torn completely off. We get bumper, light and panel damage.
Cheers to the officer from the Bolton PD who helped us out in this situation. He told us that the other driver will be the one cited for this incident.
Colleen and I are still a bit shaken from this... understandable, really.
So... the insurance company will come and do a claim adjustment and then let us know what's going on. She won't be driving the car until it's fixed, as she can't open the front passenger door. I'll be driving her to and from school for the time being.
More later as news warrants...
