Now, that said, the other rumor [older, less certain] is Robert Carlyle of Trainspotting/28 Weeks Later fame. I'd vastly prefer that choice [or Nesbitt, for that matter], but Paterson looks like the heavy frontrunner based on Neil Gaiman's audio commentary from the BBC Neverwhere DVD.
