So basically, here's the deal on the job front...
I'm up for two contract jobs now: one in Providence that's a long-term help desk position at $20/hour, and the other at a college in Boston, shorter term, $17/hour. I'm hoping to get an interview with at least one of them be end of business today.
Nonetheless, if I don't get either, I can still work at Unum, doing like a 4p-8p shift for a short while. However, I'm not going to do it today. I could use a night off from it where I can stay at home.
I've installed a second hard drive in my system -- 120GB Western Digital. So far, so good. Now all I need is a 1.26GHz PIII processor.
After I get that all squared away, I'll work on the home network, then build another system.
Mum-in-law's coming for a visit this weekend. I'm looking forward to it. I like my mum-in-law. I like all my in-laws. We get along nicely.
More later as news warrants.
