The past couple of nights, I've gotten maybe a couple hours of sleep at most each night. I'm just having problems falling asleep. I move out to the living room couch to toss and turn so that I won't wake Colleen up and disturb her sleep. I know she needs the rest.
I am so wasted right now. The drive to work seems like it takes forever. I make it in here for around 7am every morning, wondering how the hell I manage to do it.
I told myself yesterday that when I got home yesterday, I would have a nap. No go. I'm going to do the same thing today after I stop at WalMart on the way home, and hopefully I'll get a snooze in. I plan on picking up some Sominex or something similar to help me.
I do find some time to zone out from time to time, but nothing truly refreshing. I just manage to cut the world out for a couple of minutes.
I'm hoping to get some decent sleep tonight. If I don't, I'm going to end up going bats, I know it...

oo, does that sound familiar.

eh, just get store-brand Benadryl clones. cheaper and the same active ingredient - diphenhydramine hcl.

also if you've been using the Rx painkillers to deal with your teeth they can wreak hell on your sleep. seems counterintuitive but annoyingly true.

other naturopathic stuff I use is valerian and kava capsules or extracts. works well and doesn't set off my gut.

Re: oo, does that sound familiar.

The only Rx painkiller I've been given as of late is Hydrocodone, aka Vicodin. Doesn't really seem to do much for the pain anymore though, and it sure as hell doesn't make me drowsy. Then again, codeine in general doesn't affect me that much.
When all this started, I was doubling up on the tylenol to see if that helped. It did... for a little while...
I used to have some other natural stuff around, can't remember what off the top of my head. (Then again, there are times when I can't remember my name when I'm in this state.) Not sure if it really helped, but I'll look at the valerian and kava at some point.

By the by... on the flip side, do you know of any naturopathic energy boosters apart from ginseng? Just asking for Colleen's sake.
