So, due to pain in the teeth and lack of sleep during the week and all, I decide to bin everything for the weekend.
From the time I got home on Friday afternoon to when I left for work this morning, the only time I saw the light of outside was when I decided to look out a window.
Friday: On the way home from work, I picked up a large chocolate shake from McDonald's. My plan was to consume that on the way home and during my trip through the store. However, just as I was reaching the point where home was an option, I realized I was running out of shake. So I bin the store idea and head for home where I know I have some cold bevvies of some sort. Fortunately, Colleen calls from work, and gets my list of stuff -- cottage cheese, soda, ice, that sort of stuff. Gods bless her, she gets what I need. I manage to doze out a little before she gets home, which is good. I decide to make some tortelloni (the big ones) for dinner, since they're soft and I can try to eat them, and there's no meat in them (C's doing the no-meat-on-Friday-during-Lent thing). I manage to get a few down (after coating them with pesto of course), but the teeth start up again. I don't really get to sleep until after watching my usual Friday fare (JAG, Monk, Stargate), and we end up sleeping in the living room, with C on the couch and me on my usual spot on the floor. (Big thick heavy blanket on the floor, pillows, and lots of covers... and sometimes a cat.)
Saturday: I sleep in a little bit. Mouth gives me a little grief during the day. C goes to a scrapbooking party, and also picks up a few more things for me at the store, including some ready-made popcorn chicken that we can just heat-and-eat. I manage to get a few of those down my throat, but there's still trouble. Again, sleep in the living room, but I have a harder time getting to sleep.
Sunday: Sleep in. C does schoolwork and I just bomb around. Mouth is feeling rather fine. Food during the day consists of cold tortelloni, cottage cheese and chicken bits, which all go down fine. Watched the Oscars, amazed at the number of awards going to LotR: RotK. Amazing.
Get to sleep at a decent time.
Monday: Woke up, came to work. Teeth giving minor aches, but I feel okay so far.
I think the amoxicillin's starting to work a bit better. I've been on it since Thursday, and I know it takes a few days to really kick in.
